What happens to your photo

A photo you choose to scan is processed only to read the facts needed for your deadline, such as dates, amounts, and notice periods. The source photo has zero data retention and is discarded after that request completes.

What stays on your iPhone

The details you confirm, such as the name, the deadline, any amounts, reminder timing, and the optional calendar preference, are saved locally on your device. DueCalm does not require an account.

What the scanning service counts

Scanning costs us money per photo, so the service keeps a few small counters to stop one device running up the bill. Each is a number, nothing else.

The app sends an anonymous device identifier it generates for itself — a random string, not your Apple ID, not an advertising identifier, and never used to follow you anywhere. The service counts scans against a one-way hash of that identifier, so the stored value cannot be traced back to your device or to you. Those counts expire on their own, one after a day and one after a month. The service also keeps a daily and monthly total of what scanning has cost, which is not tied to anyone.

No document, date, amount, label, or photo is involved in either. Nothing here is shared with anyone, and none of it is used for advertising or analytics.

Purchases

DueCalm is free and sells nothing, so the app handles no payments and shares nothing with a payment provider. Earlier versions offered a subscription through Apple and used RevenueCat to check whether it was active; Apple still handles any subscription bought then.

This website

duecalm.app uses Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregate visit counts. It sets no cookies, does not fingerprint your browser, and cannot identify you or follow you to other sites. It runs on the website only — the iPhone app contains no analytics of any kind.

AI can misread a page. DueCalm always asks you to check the details before a reminder is saved.
